An Intelligent Machine Trying to Remember the Days of Its Creation

A photograph was taken every 30 seconds during the creation process of the artwork; these images became the training dataset for a Generative Adversarial Network that was used to generate a “spherical walk” through its own latent space. An accompanying soundtrack generated by a neural network reworks the audio of those same days. The resulting video is an algorithmic memory of its creation process—a machine trying to recall the conditions of its own birth.
